These questions will be used after July 1, 2007
If you are planning to take your General Class Amateur Radio License exam after July 1, 2007, you
should study these questions. However, if you are planning to take the exam before then, you should
study the question at Current General Class Questions.
To obtain a General Class Amateur Radio License, you must obtain a passing grade on the Elements 1, 2 and 3 examinations. Element 1 is a 5 word per minute morse code exam. Element 2 is the written examination required also for the Technician Class License. Practice exams for Element 2 are under the Technician Class Exam. The written exam for the General Class Amateur Radio license consists of 35 multiple choice questions from the pool of approximately 430 questions for Element 3. The examination covers FCC regulations, radio technical topics and operating practices. The practice exams presented on this site are dynamically generated to provide 35 questions randomly selected from the pool of questions. This means that sucessive test sessions will not contain the exact same questions as the previous session. These practice exams are meant to be representative of the actual exam administered your local VEC team. When answering the questions click on the appropriate letter A,B,C or D to select your answer. Your score will be computed as you take the exam. If you answer the question incorrectly, the correct answer will be shown so you may learn from your mistakes. A pass/fail grade will be shown at the end of the exam. You must answer 26 of the 35 questions correctly to pass. Good Luck!
